Understand Quran – the Easy Way
Al Qalam Academy offers ‘Understand Quran’ Program for Adults, in collaboration with Understand Quran Academy.
Understand Quran – The Easy Way, is a course designed by Dr. Abdul Raheem Abdul Aziz and his team at “Understand Quran Academy”. This course has been translated into 20 International languages and is taught in over 25 countries.
Learn the meanings of 50% words of Qur’anic words in just 20 classes!
Understand the meaning of commonly used Surahs and Azkaar of Salah which will make your daily Salah more effective.
Al Qalam offers 3 levels of the Understand Quran course. Each course consists of 20 classes
Level 1 – Beginners
Level 2 – Intermediate
Level 3 – Advanced
Course Details:
The course is based on our common recitations in Salaat, helping us understand what we recite, thereby improving our concentration, Khushu’, and focus during Salaat. It also teaches us to reflect and relate with the Ayaat, thus improving our connection with Allah.
Understand Quran also uses new teaching techniques to make the learning process easy and interesting. It teaches grammar using a powerful technique, TPI ( Total Physical Interaction) making it a simple, effective, and extremely participative exercise.
Level 1 – Beginners
- Prerequisites – Able to read Arabic
- Consists of 20 lessons
- Students will learn 230 words approximately, which occur in the Quran, over 40,000 times covering more than 50% of Qur’anic words.
Level 2 – Intermediate
- Prerequisites – have completed Understand Quran Level 1 course or have basic Arabic knowledge
- Consists of 20 lessons
- Students will learn over 200 new words that cover an additional 20% of Quranic words. By the end of level 2, students will be familiar with 70% of the words in the Quran and can clearly understand the message of the Quran
Level 3 – Advanced
- Prerequisites – have completed Understand Quran Level 2 course or have advanced Arabic knowledge
- Consists of 20 lessons
- Students will learn an additional 200 words which now cover another 20% of Quranic words. By the end of Level 3, students will be familiar with over 90% of the words that are in the Quran.
Online Classes – Level 1, 2, and 3 (Via Zoom)
Day and Time – Fridays 6 pm – 7 pm EST

In-Person Classes will resume once permits get approved
Day and Time: Thursday evenings from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm
